Marq is a web-based graphic design and publishing platform for individuals, creative teams, and organizations producing branded content. It supports brochures, flyers, presentations, reports, social graphics, newsletters, and other visual materials. Its focus is controlled production: teams can manage fonts, colors, logos, and layouts, while contributors customize approved templates. InDesign import, real-time editing, comments, live chat, notes, approvals, and publishing options support a range of recurring content workflows.

The strongest fit is for organizations that need consistency across many contributors or channels. Reusable and brand templates, template locking, smart fields, data-driven personalization, and brand asset management help teams create variations without giving up control. Creative approval workflows and publishing to web, social channels, email, or print extend Marq beyond a basic design editor. Integrations include Acquia, Aprimo, Blend, Brandfolder, Bynder, Canto, Flipsnack, Flowcode, MediaValet, PhotoShelter, and SundaySky. AI-assisted brand reviews and content generation are also available, with AI-powered features included in Enterprise.

The Free plan includes a basic template library, social sharing, and print and ship. Pro costs $12 per user per month when billed monthly or $10 per user per month when billed annually, adding a premium design library, profile smart fields, smart brand assets, and email and web publishing. Team uses the same monthly and annual prices, with admin and user roles, advanced locking, and brand smart fields. Enterprise adds unlimited storage, custom approval workflows, third-party integrations, API and webhook access, and SSO/SCIM. Choose Marq for governed, repeatable brand publishing; choose an alternative if illustration or image editing is the primary requirement.

  • Where it doesn't

    • Web-based workflow rather than native desktop or mobile apps
    • Advanced administration and integrations are reserved for Enterprise
