Manga Draft is a free browser-based vector design tool for manga layouts, comic frames, and webtoon storyboards. It is aimed at creators who need control over page structure, panel divisions, lettering, and visual effects without installing software or creating an account. The Free plan includes manga storyboard layouts, panel slicing, speech and thought balloons, and PNG and SVG export. Projects can support multiple pages, with page reordering and layout presets for repeatable work.
Its strongest area is page construction. Adaptive and isolated panel divider adjustment supports precise slicing, while vertical, horizontal, and slanted panel options give creators more control over pacing and composition. Screentone overlays cover dots, crosshatches, and speedlines. Speech, thought, and shout balloons include movable tails, and border, margin, color, and lettering controls help refine the finished page. Custom artwork can be uploaded with zoom, rotation, and offset controls, keeping placement work inside the same browser-based workflow.
Manga Draft is a focused choice for manga planning and clean page layouts, especially when PNG, SVG, or ZIP book export fits the project. It is less suitable for creators looking for a broader production suite with a character library, dedicated illustration tools, integrations, or native options beyond the web platform. The published Free plan is priced at $0, and the product's focused feature set makes it a practical pick for storyboarders and layout-driven comic creators who prioritize panel precision over a wider creative ecosystem.
