MailFrame review
A focused API for turning raw email into validated, typed JSON.

MailFrame converts RFC 822 MIME and plain-text email into typed JSON validated against built-in or custom JSON Schemas. It is designed for developers building receipt, order, notification, invoice, hiring, and other email-ingestion workflows. The product is available through web and API interfaces and includes synchronous REST parsing through POST /v1/parse, prebuilt schemas, usage-statistics endpoints, and API-key authentication. It is currently offered in limited early access.
Its strongest area is schema-driven control over parsing and delivery. Developers can define custom fields, receive typed output, and inspect schema validation errors. Prebuilt schemas cover receipts, orders, notifications, invoices, and other email types. For event-driven workflows, MailFrame provides signed HMAC-SHA256 webhook delivery, retries, attempt history, a dead-letter queue, and replay. Parse history and usage-statistics endpoints add operational visibility, while API keys can be created, rotated, scoped, and revoked. Teams that need predictable JSON contracts and controlled webhook handling should find this focused approach relevant.
Pricing scales by monthly parse operations and schema capacity. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes 100 parse operations, one active schema, webhook delivery, community support, and no credit card requirement. Indie costs $19 per month for 500 parse operations, five active schemas, signed webhook delivery, email support, and schema versioning. Startup costs $49 per month for 5,000 operations, unlimited schemas, API-key scoping, and priority support; PDF and image input plus confidence scoring are planned. Scale costs $149 per month for 50,000 operations, unlimited schemas, cache hits, and custom webhook rate limits; its Async / Batch API and uptime target are planned or post-GA. Enterprise offers 100k+ operations, custom volume pricing, dedicated infrastructure, custom SLAs, and an account manager. Choose MailFrame for structured email ingestion; choose an alternative if shipped attachment parsing or OCR is central.
