Lynx Launcher review
A customizable Android launcher with search across apps, contacts, and settings.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Lynx Launcher replaces the Android home screen with an app list, favorites, search, gestures, and customizable desktop pages. It suits people who want control over how apps are organized and how they move around the home screen, especially those who value searching contacts and settings alongside apps. The free plan includes the launcher, app list, favorites, gestures, and search; enhanced customization is available through a one-time in-app purchase.
Search is a notable part of the experience described by the vendor: it can find apps, contacts, and settings, solve simple equations, and send queries to web search or Google Play. For app browsing, users can sort by alphabetically or by installation date, switch between grid and list views, and hide apps. Favorites provide a separate place for apps and contacts. Configurable gestures, adjustable grids, desktop pages for widgets and shortcuts, and theme and icon options give users several ways to tailor navigation and layout.
The free offering covers core launcher functions, while the Enhanced Features purchase unlocks additional customization. That structure makes Lynx Launcher worth considering if its search, layout controls, and gesture options match what you need; those seeking a launcher beyond Android should look elsewhere. Support channels include email, community, and documentation, and the vendor states a 30-day refund period. Buyers who mainly need a basic app list may not need the added customization, while users who want detailed home-screen control may find the distinction between free functions and paid extras relevant.
