LXi is Windows-based sign design and production software for signmakers, vinyl graphics businesses, and professional sign shops. It combines vector design, layout, lettering controls, bitmap editing, vinyl and contour cutting, vehicle graphics, decals, banners, stencils, and wide-format output. The product is aimed at teams that need to move from artwork to physical signage, rather than designers looking only for general-purpose illustration tools. Its Windows 10 and 11 coverage makes it a fit for shops that already operate on supported Windows systems.

The one-time pricing is divided across three editions. Expert 26 costs $595 and covers basic design and editing of text and shapes, direct vinyl-cutter output, and a production manager for queued cutting jobs. Master Plus 26 costs $1,095 and adds full bitmap support, advanced sign-design tools, sports templates, artwork approval tools, and a rhinestone wizard. RIP Design 26 costs $2,495 and adds wide-format printing, vinyl cutting, print-and-cut workflows, multiple output devices and queues, and PrismJET printing support. A 15-day trial is available, but there is no free plan. Buyers should select the edition based on whether they need basic cutting, broader design tools, or integrated print production.

LXi’s strongest fit is production work that combines lettering, vector layouts, vehicle graphics, cutting, and output management. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop plug-ins, plus integrations with CorelDRAW, can help shops that already work across those applications. Multiple cutter drivers and plotter support further suit sign-production environments with varied equipment. The trade-off is platform coverage: LXi 26 is Windows-only, and Mac installation through Parallels or Boot Camp is not recommended or supported. Choose LXi when vinyl cutting and print-and-cut production are central requirements; choose another option if Mac support or a lower upfront cost is the priority.
