LuppetX is Windows desktop software for animating 3D VTuber avatars from VRM files. It is aimed at individual streamers, presenters, and corporate users who want webcam-based facial tracking with optional Ultraleap hand tracking. The feature set covers upper-body motion, expressions, lip-sync from facial or microphone audio data, accessory attachment, transparent-background capture for OBS, photo mode, and VMC Protocol motion transmission. VRM 1.0 support gives it a current avatar import workflow, while the emphasis on solo operation suits creators managing their own streams, meetings, or presentations.

The pricing structure is straightforward. A free offline version 1.1.0 was released on August 23, 2026. The LuppetX Personal plan costs ¥6,600 as a one-time purchase, removes the watermark, provides access to all LuppetX features, and permits commercial use for eligible personal use. LuppetX Enterprise costs ¥99,800 one time and includes the same watermark removal and full feature access, with licensing for corporate use. The paid tiers therefore mainly distinguish personal and corporate use rather than separating tracking capabilities. For a creator who can work within Windows and the free version’s terms, the free option is a practical starting point; the Personal plan is the relevant upgrade for eligible commercial personal use.

LuppetX fits workflows built around OBS, VMC Protocol, iFacialMocap, and Meta Quest Pro. Transparent capture is useful for compositing an avatar into broadcasts or presentations, and VMC output can connect motion data to external applications. The main constraint is platform scope: it runs on Windows, and hand tracking depends on an Ultraleap device such as LeapMotion. Operational continuity also matters. The operator announced company dissolution, support ends October 4, 2026, and the vendor says there will be no bug fixes or future-system updates after that date; older versions are scheduled to be disabled after the mandatory update. Choose LuppetX for affordable Windows VRM tracking with a broad feature set, but consider an alternative if ongoing vendor support is essential.
