Lucid Launcher review
Lucid Launcher pairs flexible home-screen layouts with app search and icon editing.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Lucid Launcher replaces the standard Android home screen with vertically scrolling pages, an app drawer, and a favorites sidebar. It suits people who want to arrange apps and widgets around their own layout rather than stick to a fixed grid. Drawer choices include grid and list views, and home pages can use separate layouts for portrait and landscape. Icon packs, individual icon and label editing, folders, shortcuts, and app and contact search round out the day-to-day customization tools.
Layout flexibility is the defining strength here. Pages can use a snap-grid or free-position placement, while the sidebar keeps selected apps accessible and widgets can sit alongside shortcuts and folders. The launcher also supports Icon Pack Studio and Apex-compatible icon packs. A built-in browser is included but can be disabled. This makes Lucid a closer fit for users who value control over home-screen arrangement and visual details than for those who simply want a bare app list with few configuration choices.
Lucid Launcher Demo is free and ad-supported, with the app drawer, icon editing, search, and customizable home pages. Lucid Launcher Pro removes ads and adds more gestures, home pages, and sidebar settings; Google Play lists it at $4.99 in the US as a one-time purchase, with regional prices varying. Additional gestures and hidden-app search are Pro features. Buyers who need those options should account for the paid upgrade, while users content with the free feature set can start with Demo. Email and community support are available.
