Lightning Voice is an on-device voice reminder app for iPhone. It lets people speak or type a reminder, choose a time, receive a local notification, and play the attached recording when the reminder opens. Quick time presets, a full time picker, weekday repeats, heard and missed history, a Home Screen widget, Control Center, and Siri shortcuts make it suited to people who want spoken prompts rather than a general note-taking system.

Pricing is unusually simple for a reminder app. The Free plan supports speaking, scheduling, notifications, playback, marking reminders as Got It, unlimited in-app voice notes, full on-device history, and up to 10 enabled reminders at once. Lightning Pro Monthly costs $0.99 per month, while Lightning Pro Yearly costs $4.99 per year and includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Lightning Pro Lifetime costs $9.99 one time. All paid plans remove the limit on enabled reminders; the yearly trial applies only to eligible new subscribers.

The product’s narrow focus is its main strength and constraint. Voice recordings stay on the device, with no account or cloud sync required, which keeps the setup centered on the iPhone. Siri and Control Center shortcuts add quick access, while scheduled local notifications and repeating weekday reminders cover routine prompts. However, Lightning Voice does not provide transcription or broader note features, so it is not a substitute for a voice-to-text app or a full notes platform. Choose it for inexpensive spoken reminders and simple scheduling; choose an alternative if searchable text, cross-device syncing, or wider note organization is central to the workflow.
