Lapseleap is a browser-based time-lapse platform for capturing frames from webcams, USB cameras, phones, Raspberry Pi devices or uploaded JPEG and PNG photos. Users set custom capture intervals, monitor live progress and render MP4 videos or animated GIFs in the cloud. It suits solo creators, small teams and projects that need scheduled monitoring without building a capture pipeline from scratch, while its web, iOS, Android and Linux availability supports mixed-device workflows.
The freemium structure gives users a meaningful starting point. The Free plan costs €0 per month and includes unlimited sessions, up to 1,800 images per session, videos up to one minute, 720p resolution and seven-day storage. Pro costs €4.99 per month and adds unlimited image and video length, 1080p output, animated GIFs, motion detection, bulk photo upload and watermark-free exports. Studio includes everything in Pro plus phone and Raspberry Pi capture devices, 24/7 headless capture, remote device management and AI face blur. The published plans therefore separate basic cloud rendering from longer-running, higher-resolution and managed capture operations.
Its strongest fit is continuous or distributed monitoring: Raspberry Pi and RTSP camera support, live previews, adjustable motion sensitivity and remote controls extend beyond a simple interval timer. AI face blur can process videos and GIFs, while the programmatic image upload API supports automated workflows. Choose Lapseleap when cloud rendering, Raspberry Pi operation or monitored captures matter more than a narrow desktop-only tool. Consider an alternative if you need a simple free export without resolution, duration or retention limits, or if Studio-level device management is outside your requirements.
