L-ISA Studio is a desktop suite for object-based spatial audio mixing on Windows and macOS. L-Acoustics positions it for sound engineers, producers, mixers, and other creators working on immersive audio. Its components include L-ISA Controller, L-ISA Processor Desktop, L-ISA Audio Bridge, and DAW control plugins. The free plan provides one seat, headphone mixing, and binaural monitoring, while the published product capabilities include up to 96 audio objects, up to 16 audio outputs, speaker layouts, surround rendering, and Dolby Atmos ADM export.
The plan structure gives the product a clear entry point. The Free plan is permanent and includes binaural monitoring, while the Individual plan adds mixing on up to 16 audio outputs and retains the Free plan features for one seat. Enterprise adds up to five seats and includes the Individual plan features. A 30-day trial is also available. Paid plans are relevant for teams or workflows that need more than headphone-based monitoring, but the product page presents those tiers without a listed price, so buyers will need to assess the commercial fit with L-Acoustics.
L-ISA Studio’s strongest differentiator is the breadth of its spatial workflow. Room Engine provides object-based reverberation, Snapshot Engine supports online and offline editing, and FX Engine adds spatial behaviors. DAW control plugins are available in VST, AU, and AAX formats, while OSC connects the suite with show control software, game engines, mixing consoles, tracking systems, and OSC devices. Supported head trackers can extend binaural monitoring beyond static headphone playback. Choose L-ISA Studio if free object-based spatial mixing and immersive production tools are the priority. Choose an alternative if you need transparent paid-tier pricing, a different operating system, or a tool centered on conventional stereo mixing.
