Kontainer is a web-based digital asset management and product information management platform for businesses, brands, marketing teams, agencies, and external partners. It centralizes images, videos, documents, PDFs, office files, design files, audio, logos, graphics, and related metadata. Teams can organize assets with manual, automated, and AI tagging; search across metadata and tags; manage approvals and comments; control access; and share files through encrypted links, public galleries, or portals. API access supports connected workflows across web-based operations.
The platform’s strongest fit is rights-aware collaboration and external distribution. Role-based permissions cover viewing, downloading, uploading, and sharing, while consent, rights, and expiration-date management help teams govern asset use. Version control provides access to current approved versions, and approval workflows include email notifications. External sharing can use time-limited encrypted links, while previews support more than 100 file formats. These controls make Kontainer relevant when agencies, partners, or distributed teams need access without receiving the same permissions as internal users.
Kontainer also combines asset management with practical transformation and ecosystem features. Users can crop and resize images, convert formats, and apply download templates. Integrations include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; Shopify, Shopware, WordPress, Drupal, Umbraco, Figma, Canva, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and WebDAV. The published plans are Professional, Premium, and Enterprise, with pricing handled through contact sales. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Choose Kontainer when controlled sharing, approvals, rights management, and broad integrations matter; a simpler library may suit teams that only need basic storage and search.
