Kerio Connect is a business email and collaboration server for small and midsize organizations. It brings together email, calendars, contacts, tasks, notes, chat, web access, desktop clients, and mobile access. Administrators can manage domains, users, mailbox quotas, authentication, archiving, backups, spam filtering, antivirus protection, and two-factor authentication. Its fit is strongest for teams that want groupware under centralized administrative control rather than a basic mailbox service.

Deployment and access flexibility are central to the product. Kerio Connect supports cloud and self-hosted deployment, along with Windows, macOS, Linux, desktop, and mobile environments. Users can connect through Microsoft Outlook, IMAP, POP3, or Exchange ActiveSync, while VMware support provides another deployment option. Migration tools for Microsoft Exchange and IMAP services can help organizations move existing mail into the platform. The tradeoff is a sales-led purchasing process: Kerio Connect uses contact-sales pricing, has no free plan, and purchases are handled through resellers.

For administrators, the feature set extends beyond messaging. Server-wide email archiving, automated backups, mailbox quotas, item-count limits, public folders, SSL, S/MIME, anti-spam, antivirus protection, and domain- or user-level two-factor authentication cover common operational and security requirements. The product should suit small and midsize teams that need email, collaboration features, and control over deployment. Organizations seeking a free tier, transparent self-serve pricing, or an open-source mail server should consider alternatives instead.
