Structured webcasting with synchronized presentations, interaction, analytics and flexible delivery.

Kaltura Webcasting is an enterprise live-streaming platform for producing structured events such as town halls, conferences and company broadcasts. It runs through web, Windows and macOS deployments, with cloud and desktop options, and is aimed at mid-market and enterprise organizations managing internal or external audiences. Event planning, presenter and moderator workflows, synchronized presentations, registration-based access control and SSO support a coordinated webcast format rather than an informal stream.
The feature set covers the full event lifecycle. Organizers can schedule events, broadcast synchronized slides, monitor viewers and streams, moderate Q&A, run interactive polls and automatically move from live video to on-demand VOD. Live captions and translations extend accessibility. Events can run for up to 24 hours, and simulcasting supports distribution beyond the primary webcast. Webcasting uses contact-sales pricing and has no free plan, so organizations need a sales conversation to assess commercial fit.
Its delivery and ecosystem options suit organizations with varied audience networks. Streams can use a public CDN, an internal eCDN or dual delivery, while RTMP re-streaming sends broadcasts to additional destinations. Integrations include Kaltura MediaSpace, Kaltura Application Framework, RTMP-based streaming services, public CDN infrastructure and internal eCDN environments. Audience analytics, registration access control and SSO add operational oversight. Kaltura documentation identifies legacy Webcasting/Town Halls deployments and recommends Live Studio for newly created events, while legacy deployments remain documented and supported. Choose it when structured production, enterprise distribution and live-to-VOD workflows matter; consider another Kaltura event product for new deployments aligned to that recommendation.
