Jodit is a browser-based rich text and HTML editor for developers building forms, CMS interfaces, administration panels, and content tools. Its TypeScript core supports WYSIWYG HTML editing, source-code editing, customizable toolbars, plugins, file browsing, uploads, image editing, table operations, and media embedding. It suits teams that want an open-source web editor with a broad feature set and framework support without starting with a recurring subscription.
The pricing structure gives buyers several licensing paths. The Free plan includes an MIT license, a built-in file browser, and core plugins. PRO costs $99 one time and adds a commercial license, 25 premium plugins, and Jodit Finder. Multi PRO costs $399 one time and adds unlimited domains, while OEM costs $799 one time and includes an OEM/source license with unlimited domains. Subscription Cloud costs $27 per month and includes a cloud subscription plus 25 premium plugins. Enterprise is a custom plan. Commercial editions also add features such as PDF and DOCX export, mentions, and an AI assistant.
Jodit fits web stacks using React, Angular, Vue, Yii2, Joomla, TypeScript, or JavaScript, with integrations and connections involving elFinder, Node.js, and AWS S3. Media can be handled through uploads, URLs, the file browser, and base64 data URIs; iframe, video, and audio elements can also be embedded or manipulated. Jodit Collaboration adds simultaneous editing and comments as a separate commercial product. Choose Jodit for cost-conscious teams needing customizable editing and file tools. Teams requiring built-in collaboration as part of the editor itself, or a clearly priced enterprise package, should evaluate alternatives.
