jAlbum is desktop photo-gallery software for photographers, families, organizations, and businesses that need to organize media and publish customizable web galleries. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, with drag-and-drop importing for images and videos, folder-based organization, duplicate handling, captions, metadata editing, RAW conversion, face-region tagging, and built-in adjustments. Galleries can be uploaded through FTP to an existing website or hosted through jAlbum storage.
The free plan supports publishing galleries to your own site, allows up to 24 objects per gallery, and remains valid indefinitely. The Standard License is a permanent license for the purchased version, includes 12 months of free updates and support, allows unlimited uploads to any website, and is for non-commercial use. The Pro License adds commercial use while retaining the permanent license, 12 months of free updates and support, and unlimited uploads. Premium Account includes 10 GB of hosted storage, a Standard license, non-commercial use, and priority email support. Power Account provides 100 GB of hosted storage, a Pro license, commercial use, and priority support.
Its strongest fit is for users who want control over presentation, hosting, and local file organization rather than a cloud-first library. The skin editor, password protection, watermarking, XMP, EXIF, and IPTC support give photographers and organizations room to shape published galleries. Integrations with Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, WordPress, PayPal, and Fotomoto extend its publishing workflow. However, jAlbum is narrower than a comprehensive photo management service: its emphasis is creating and delivering galleries, and cloud sync is not included. Choose it for customizable web publishing across desktop platforms; consider another product if continuous cloud synchronization is central to the workflow.
