iZotope RX is an audio repair and restoration suite for music producers, dialogue editors, re-recording mixers, broadcasters, and audio post-production teams. Its standalone spectral audio editor and plugin collection address noise, clicks, clipping, hum, reverb, mouth sounds, unwanted frequencies, dialogue interference, and inconsistent silence. The product runs on Windows and macOS, with plugin formats including AU, AAX, AAX Audiosuite, VST3, AU ARA, and VST3 ARA.

The edition structure determines how much restoration depth you get. RX 12 Elements costs $99 one-time and includes six repair plugins, Repair Assistant, and common audio repair tools. RX 12 Standard costs $399 one-time and adds 18 pro audio restoration plugins, a standalone audio editor, Music Rebalance, and Dialogue Isolate. RX 12 Advanced costs $1,399 one-time and includes 50+ audio restoration tools, advanced dialogue and environmental-noise repair, Scene Rebalance, and Ambience Match. The published edition prices are perpetual product prices, while the editions differ in module availability.

RX fits workflows that already use tools such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One, Reaper, FL Studio, Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Reason. Standout capabilities include Spectral De-noise for tonal and broadband noise, Spectral Repair for unwanted sounds and frequencies, Dialogue Isolate for speech under noise and reverb, De-clip for clipped recordings, and Music Rebalance for vocals, bass, drums, and instruments. Choose RX when repair and restoration are central requirements; choose another audio editor if broad general production matters more than specialized cleanup.
