Interactive Video Suite review
A Moodle-focused suite for turning videos into assessed, branching lessons.

Interactive Video Suite is a Moodle plugin for universities, sports organizations, and other educational institutions. It helps teachers turn lectures, seminars, instructional videos, and classroom analysis into interactive learning activities. Educators can add timestamped text and audio comments, single-choice, multiple-choice, and open questions, hotspots, answer-dependent feedback, and branching sequences. A video editor also provides markers, text notes, zoom, pauses, and speed controls, making the product suited to structured instruction rather than simple video hosting.
Pricing is organized by course per semester or by Moodle instance per year. Semester S costs €90 per course per semester for up to 20 participants, while Semester M costs €152 for up to 40, Semester L costs €320 for up to 100, and Semester XL costs €610 for up to 200. Institution-wide options start with IVS 500 at €750 per Moodle instance per year and extend through IVS 1000 at €900, IVS 3000 at €2100, and IVS 6000 at €3400; each is available on the whole instance with unlimited courses. A 28-day trial is available, but there is no permanent free plan. The course-based tiers fit defined teaching groups, while annual instance plans are aimed at broader Moodle deployments.
Its main strength is the combination of interactive authoring and Moodle course administration. Quiz results can flow into Moodle’s Gradebook, and Moodle backup support helps keep activities connected to course management. The product also works with videos from Moodle, Panopto, Opencast, Kaltura, VIMP, YouTube, and Vimeo, giving institutions flexibility around their existing video sources. Choose Interactive Video Suite when Moodle is central to teaching and assessment, especially when branching, hotspots, annotations, and graded questions matter. Organizations seeking a standalone, non-Moodle video platform should consider a different type of tool.
