imgmend is a browser-based AI photo denoiser for photographers, smartphone users, creators and people restoring scanned photos. It uses Real-ESRGAN to address luminance and chroma noise, grain, JPEG compression artifacts, blur and other degradation. JPG, PNG and WEBP images up to 10 MB can be uploaded, and processing is described as taking seconds. It runs in the browser without an account or installation, making it suited to occasional edits and smaller workflows rather than a desktop-based production pipeline.
The free plan permits three images per day, with watermarked downloads. Pro is a one-time $9.90 purchase and adds unlimited daily images, Full HD output, watermark-free downloads and all imgmend tools. The free tier provides a before-and-after comparison and supports JPG, PNG and WEBP. According to the published plan descriptions, the main reason to pay is removing the daily limit and watermark while gaining Full HD output; this is a straightforward option for users who want to try the denoising flow before paying.
Face restoration runs when faces are detected, and JPEG artifact reduction extends its use beyond noise alone. Uploaded photos are deleted immediately after processing, while the service itself is cloud-based. RAW camera files are not directly supported, so they need to be exported to JPG or PNG first; batch processing and plugin availability are not documented for the denoiser. Choose imgmend for low-cost browser cleanup of supported files, especially when face restoration matters. Choose another tool if RAW input or a documented batch workflow is essential.
