IELTS by IDP App is a mobile preparation and test-service app from IDP Education for IELTS candidates. It supports IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training and IELTS for UKVI workflows, combining study content with test booking, booking management and results access. The app is available on iOS and Android, making it a practical fit for learners who want preparation resources and core test services in one mobile location.
The app is free to download and use, with a free access plan covering preparation articles, videos, webinars, podcasts, interactive quizzes, flashcards, test booking and results access. A 14-day free trial is available, while selected preparation courses and feedback features may require a trial, booking or upgrade. The published offering also includes online courses, including expert-led Macquarie University and E2 preparation courses, but the available access route depends on the relevant course or booking arrangement.
Its strongest value is breadth within IELTS preparation rather than a single specialist practice mode. Learners get grammar, vocabulary and IELTS knowledge quizzes, short practice activities, an English self-assessment tool, a preparation checklist, recommended resources, practice tests and mock tests covering IELTS skills. Personalised recommendations and progress-related tools add structure, while speaking practice and score tracking are listed among its category capabilities. Choose it if you want free mobile IELTS preparation linked to booking and results services. Look elsewhere if your priority is a dedicated writing-feedback environment or broader platform coverage beyond iOS and Android.
