iClicker is an audience response and classroom engagement platform from Macmillan Learning for instructors and students. It supports in-person, online, flipped, and asynchronous teaching through live polling, self-paced quizzing, attendance tracking, assignments, study tools, confidence ratings, reactions, and analytics. Instructors can use desktop software or web polling, while students participate through mobile devices, laptops, or physical remotes. Its question formats include multiple-choice, multiple-answer, short-answer, numeric, target, and formula/symbol questions, with an anonymous polling mode available.

Pricing separates attendance-focused Pulse plans from the broader Pro plans. According to the vendor's pricing page, Pulse costs $4.99 per six months or $7.99 per 12 months with attendance tracking, auto-run class sessions, and late-arrival tracking. Pro costs $15.99 per six months or $24.99 per 12 months, adding LMS grade and attendance sync, live polling and quizzing, assignments, study tools, focus reports, group learning, and emoji reactions. A free plan is also available, while institutional pricing is custom. The published plans show U.S. customer pricing, and student subscription requirements depend on the enrolled course.

The strongest fit is a higher-education instructor who needs structured classroom participation tied to course administration. Integrations with Blackboard, Canvas, Brightspace by D2L, Moodle, and Achieve support common LMS workflows, while scheduled check-ins, geolocation options, gradebook analytics, and AI question creation extend the platform beyond simple polling. It runs on web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Choose iClicker when polling, quizzing, attendance, and LMS synchronization belong in one teaching workflow; choose a narrower tool if you only need basic audience responses without course management features.
