iA Presenter review
A focused Markdown presentation tool for Apple users who value narrative flow.

iA Presenter is a native presentation application for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It is designed for people who prefer developing a presentation narrative before arranging individual slides. The Markdown-based editor turns written content into slides with automatic layouts and responsive aspect ratios, while support for images, videos, tables, charts, audio, themes, and custom presentation layouts adds room for richer presentations. Presenter Mode includes speaker notes, a teleprompter, and a timer.
Pricing is structured around subscriptions and device-specific purchases. The Quarterly plan is $8 per month when billed quarterly and includes Mac, iPad, iPhone, and 1 GB of Web Sharing. The Yearly plan includes those devices and 1 GB of Web Sharing. Separate Mac, iPad, and iPhone One-Time Payment plans are available, with the iPad and iPhone options listed as App Store only. Extra Web Sharing adds 1 GB. A seven-day trial gives prospective users time to assess the workflow before committing. According to the vendor’s pricing notes, refund terms differ between quarterly subscriptions and qualifying direct one-time purchases.
The strongest fit is for Apple users who want to write first and design second, especially when responsive layouts and presentation tools matter more than broad platform access. Integrations with Unsplash, YouTube, and iCloud support content sourcing and Apple ecosystem continuity. Export options cover PDF, HTML, Markdown, images, and web sharing, while PowerPoint export is available in beta. That makes iA Presenter more suitable for focused, self-directed presentation work than for teams requiring established collaboration workflows, AI features, or a fully mature PowerPoint handoff. Choose it for a Markdown-centered authoring experience on Apple devices; consider an alternative if Windows support or production-ready PowerPoint export is essential.
