HouseCurve review
A focused iOS toolkit for measuring stereo systems and exporting PEQ or FIR correction.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
HouseCurve is an iPhone and iPad app for measuring and tuning home or car audio systems. It supports logarithmic sine-sweep and real-time pink-noise measurements, using either a built-in microphone or a calibrated external microphone. Users can compare results with target curves, adjust speaker levels and crossover frequencies, and measure subwoofer phase and time alignment. The free version provides basic measurement, while paid Tuning Bundle plans add correction and analysis tools.
Its main strength is the Equalize workflow. HouseCurve can automatically generate parametric-EQ or FIR correction filters, then export them to convolution and equalizer formats. Advanced plots cover phase and group delay, and the curve editor supports target-curve adjustments before correction is produced. Integration options include Roon, Volumio, CamillaDSP, Equalizer APO, miniDSP and Crestron DM NAX, giving the app a practical fit with several playback and processing ecosystems.
HouseCurve is designed for mobile iOS use, and its correction scope is stereo rather than multichannel. Documentation describes Apple-silicon macOS operation as not currently supported, so buyers seeking a desktop-first workflow or broader platform coverage should consider another option. Support is provided through email and documentation. Choose HouseCurve if you want low-cost iOS measurement with automated PEQ or FIR generation and export flexibility; choose an alternative if you need non-iOS deployment, multichannel correction or a wider room-optimization scope.
