Homeschool Tracker is an online lesson-planning and recordkeeping tool for homeschooling families who want one place to schedule work and document progress. It supports up to 20 students and 3 teachers on its listed plans. Families can create reusable lesson plans, schedule assignments on a calendar, record grades and attendance, track time spent and skill mastery, and produce reports including report cards, transcripts, attendance reports, and portfolios. The current service is cloud-based and accessed in a web browser, including on a tablet with an internet connection.
Its planning and records features form a connected workflow: lesson plans can be reused across students and school years, assignments can be rescheduled on a calendar, and attendance can be recorded manually or automatically from completed assignments. Grading includes weighted grading and custom grade scales. That combination may suit families that need both day-to-day scheduling and formal progress records; those looking only for a simple planner may find the broader recordkeeping emphasis unnecessary. The product has been offered since 2002, and its focus remains on homeschool planning and documentation rather than AI features or a wider school platform.
According to the vendor’s published plans, Monthly costs $8 per month, Annual costs $65 per year, and Two Year costs $119 per 2 years. Each includes all features, SSL-secure cloud access, and free email support. A 7-day free trial is available without a card, and the vendor lists a 30-day refund period. There is no free plan. Families comfortable with browser-based access and paid service can choose among the three billing periods; those requiring mobile apps or a free ongoing tier should look elsewhere. The vendor also supports a legacy Windows desktop edition for existing users, while the current product is presented as online and cloud-based.
