HiPER Scientific Calculator review
A broad mobile math toolkit for learners who want explanations alongside calculations.

HiPER Scientific Calculator brings scientific and symbolic calculation tools to Android and iOS. It suits students, engineers and everyday math users who want more than a basic calculator, especially those who benefit from step-by-step explanations. Its toolkit covers equation, system and inequality solving, custom variables and functions, complex numbers, matrices, statistics, regression, integrals, derivatives and limits. It also includes unit conversion, constants, graphing and camera recognition of math expressions.
The breadth is a central strength: 2D and 3D graphs can be paired with tables, while symbolic algebra and step-by-step solutions support work beyond numerical evaluation. Matrix and vector calculations, statistics and regression, and calculus functions make the app relevant across varied math tasks. The product is mobile-only, so users looking for a desktop calculator or a broader cross-platform workflow should consider an alternative. Calculations run locally, while optional image recognition uses a server; that distinction matters for buyers considering how they want to enter expressions.
HiPER offers a free, ad-supported edition alongside paid Pro options. On Android, HiPER Calc Pro is a separate paid app that includes all calculator features and removes ads; the displayed US price is $5.99, with pricing varying by region. On iOS, the App Store lists a one-time Pro Forever purchase at $7.99 and a Pro version in-app purchase at $0.99. The product does not state the billing period for the latter. Choose HiPER if a mobile calculator with a wide range of math tools and worked explanations fits your needs. If you need desktop access or prefer not to use server-based image recognition, another option may fit better.
