HelpSite review
Generate source-grounded knowledge bases, with article controls and analytics.

HelpSite gives support and operations teams a place to create searchable public, private, or hybrid knowledge bases. Its AI knowledge-base generator can draw on websites, PDFs, documents, Google Drive, or pasted text, while AI-assisted drafting accepts pasted text, DOCX, or PDF files. The product is also aimed at teams managing internal SOPs or multiple help centers from one account, with article-level visibility controls, custom domains, SSL, and theme customization.
Generation limits and team capacity distinguish the three paid plans. Starter includes unlimited articles, 50 AI-generated articles per month, three team members, two knowledge bases, and version history with rollback. Pro raises the generator allowance to 250 articles per month, supports 15 team members and five knowledge bases, and adds the AI chatbot plus MCP server and API access. Max allows 1,000 generated articles per month, unlimited team members, and 25 knowledge bases; it also adds custom roles and permissions, article assignments, and review workflows. A 14-day free trial is available. According to the vendor's pricing page, listed monthly equivalents use annual billing.
The standout feature is the link between generated content and answers: HelpSite's AI answers are grounded in source material and link to source articles. The chatbot supports follow-up questions and saved chat history, while analytics cover articles, searches, and visitor activity. Integrations include Google Drive, Notion, Google Docs, and Slack. HelpSite offers version history and rollback, but teams that need broader integrations or a specific standard SSO option should assess fit carefully; the vendor describes SAML-style SSO as under exploration and documents JWT-based SSO. Choose HelpSite for source-based AI content and managed knowledge bases; consider alternatives if broader ecosystem connections are central.
