Hane is an Android drawing and painting app for stylus artists who want brushes to behave more like physical media. Its Tiltmark engine models brushes that carry and deplete pigment and pick up color from the canvas. Stylus response can account for pressure, tilt, direction, speed, side contact, and supported barrel rotation, with guided calibration. That focus makes Hane a fit for solo artists who value brush feel over broad platform availability or a cloud-based workflow.

The free Hane Starter edition includes 36 calibrated brushes, canvases up to 2,048 pixels per dimension, up to three layers, and six saved artworks. Hane Full costs $9.99 USD as a one-time unlock according to the vendor's pricing details. It adds a 252-brush library, four spray tools, Brush Editor and custom libraries, plus canvases up to 8,192 pixels. Full also expands document work with folders, masks, clipping, and layered exchange, and supports full-resolution export. The tradeoff is clear: Starter offers room to explore, while artists who need larger canvases, more layers, or custom brush-making must pay for Full.

Hane covers a substantial painting workflow with selections, transforms, guides, timelapse capture, and Android share-sheet export. Full supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, editable .slimg, and supported layered PSD export. Projects are stored locally rather than synced to cloud storage, and the only listed platform is Android. An optional same-local-network connection to Sloom Studio through Sloom Link may suit artists working in that ecosystem, but it is not a broad integration layer. Choose Hane for Android stylus painting and tactile brush behavior; look elsewhere if you need cross-platform access, cloud project sync, or canvases beyond Full's 8,192-pixel dimension limit.
