Groups.io is a hosted email-group and listserv service for communities, nonprofits, teams, and larger organizations that need shared discussion with moderator controls. Members can post by email or through a group website, while owners can choose open, restricted, moderated, or announcement-only settings. It is aimed at groups managing ongoing communication and membership, rather than organizations primarily seeking campaign marketing tools.

The free plan provides a core email group and supports up to 100 members. The published plans show Premium adds files, photos, a wiki, calendar, chat, customizable profiles, and member data; paid plans also include polls, databases, and subgroups. Premium pricing is member-based and has minimum monthly or annual charges. Enterprise adds white-label web and email, single sign-on, and a customizable home page. Enterprise lists nonprofit and commercial minimums and a per-member range, but billing details for those amounts are not fully specified. A free trial is available for 30 days, with no card required.

For groups that want more than email, Groups.io combines archives, searchable hashtags, member subscription and delivery settings, invitations, and moderator approvals and permissions with integrations for Slack, RSS feeds, GitHub, Trello, and Bluesky. It also supports web, iOS, Android, and API access, with email and documentation support channels. The trade-off is its group-communication focus: teams looking for a campaign-oriented mailing product may prefer a different fit. Groups that need hosted lists, member collaboration, and configurable moderation should consider it; groups that mainly send campaigns should look elsewhere.
