GroupCal is a shared calendar platform for families, teams, businesses, schools, communities, and other groups coordinating multiple schedules. It supports separate calendars for groups, topics, or resources, with invitations through shareable links or phone numbers. Members can receive real-time updates, notifications, and reminders while viewing shared calendars alongside connected personal calendars. Web, iOS, and Android apps are available, with API access for broader implementations.

The free plan includes unlimited calendars and events, 25 photo attachments, and one admin. Pro costs $15 per month or $120 per year and adds more permission controls, member colors, and sharing for Google, Outlook, and iCloud calendars. Team costs $75 per month or $600 per year, adding three calendar admins, 500 photo attachments, event ownership, and advanced permissions. Organization costs $225 per month or $1,800 per year, with unlimited admins, calendar channels, cross-calendar event syncing, and public calendar publishing. Enterprise adds an advanced REST API, webhooks, white-labeled web and mobile apps, and custom security and governance. Paid plans include a seven-day trial.

Its strongest ecosystem fit comes from two-way synchronization with Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud, Exchange, and Apple Calendar, plus a unified view of shared and personal schedules. Public calendars can be searchable and embedded on websites, while master and child calendars support cross-calendar event syncing. These capabilities suit organizations managing layered calendars, permissions, ownership, and public information. GroupCal is built for ongoing shared-calendar coordination rather than Calendly-style booking pages or video meetings, though calendars can be shared or joined through a link and meeting links can be added to events. GroupCal is a good fit when shared-calendar structure and administration matter more than meeting-booking workflows.

GroupCal pros and cons

    • Granular permissions, reminders, and real-time updates
  • Where it doesn't
    • No Calendly-style booking pages; calendars are shared by link instead
    • No built-in video meetings (meeting links can be added to events)
    • Advanced administration requires higher paid tiers
