GrassrootsFC review
A low-cost club site with teams, profiles, events and shop tools, but limited competition publishing.

GrassrootsFC is a hosted, no-code website builder for small grassroots football clubs. It provides a branded site on a GrassrootsFC subdomain, with team pages, coach and training information, match details, player profiles, shareable squad pages, events, galleries, documents, safeguarding content and an online shop. An admin dashboard brings teams, squads, contacts and content together, making the service suited to volunteer-led clubs that need a public web presence without a large budget or technical setup.
The permanent Free plan includes the club website, team pages, player profiles, events calendar, photo gallery and a Stripe-powered shop, with a custom domain available as an add-on. Club costs £8 per month and adds unlimited shop products, news and match reports, a member email list with CSV export, and Google Analytics integration; its custom domain remains an add-on. Pro costs £15 per month and adds team-based email-list groups, different themes, removal of GrassrootsFC branding, priority support and an included own domain. Storage and feature limits vary by plan, so clubs should compare those allowances before choosing a tier.
GrassrootsFC runs on the web with responsive support for mobile browsers and integrates with Stripe, Stripe Connect, Google Analytics, YouTube, Vimeo and Amazon Web Services. The platform supports roster management, schedule publishing and registration, while player consent controls help govern shareable profiles. Its focus is narrower than systems built around verified standings or extensive competition publishing, and the platform’s bulk-email sending was withdrawn in September 2026; Club and Pro instead let administrators export member lists. Choose GrassrootsFC for a low-cost site, basic commerce and club communications. Clubs needing deeper competition workflows or built-in bulk email should consider another platform.
