GoodPlans review
GoodPlans turns deadlines and priorities into an adjustable iOS time-blocked schedule.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
GoodPlans is a daily planner for individuals who want tasks converted into time blocks without arranging each block themselves. Add tasks, durations and deadlines; its scheduler prioritizes urgent work, accounts for dependencies, and can split larger tasks into focus sessions. A built-in timer has adjustable work and break lengths, while deadline alerts and focus reminders help keep the day on track. It is designed for iPhone and iPad users who prefer automatic scheduling over a broader, cross-platform planning system.
The scheduling tools are the main distinction: when plans change, one-tap rescheduling reshuffles the schedule, and recurring tasks support routines. iCloud Calendar sync connects calendar scheduling, while Siri and Shortcuts provide additional ways to interact with the app. Lock-screen Live Activities show a task countdown. The integration set is focused rather than broad, so GoodPlans fits people whose planning revolves around iOS and iCloud Calendar better than those who need a wider ecosystem of connected services.
GoodPlans has a free plan capped at five active tasks. According to the published plan details, Premium costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year and includes unlimited tasks; a seven-day unlimited trial is available. Data stays on-device, and the app does not require an account or include advertising. Choose GoodPlans if automatic time blocking, rescheduling and focused work sessions suit a solo daily workflow on iPhone or iPad. It is a less suitable choice if you need another mobile platform or a broad integration set.
