Submit a page URL to save a snapshot of how it appeared at capture time; the service can include images and framed content, and it saves videos from some websites. There is no account system, so the service suits straightforward capture and retrieval rather than account-based collection management.

Replay is a notable part of the service: archived pages can be opened through a ReplayWeb.page-based system or an alternative no-script replay option. Users can also search Ghostarchive’s collection for archived pages. The described workflow centers on submitting a URL, not on other capture methods or integrations. MementoWeb API support is described as in progress, so users whose work depends on an established API workflow should assess whether the web interface fits their needs.

Ghostarchive describes itself as free to use and says it has no present intention to charge for access to its collections. Its FAQ says archived content is stored indefinitely, subject to storage availability and exceptions: pages that violate the hoster’s rules or meet listed deletion conditions may be removed. That makes the service useful for free capture and casual archive search, but indefinite storage is not an unconditional preservation guarantee. Choose it for simple URL archiving and replay; consider another service if your requirements depend on broader capture methods, stronger preservation controls, or confirmed API support.
