A free social platform for mobile-first posts, video, and livestreams.

GETTR is a social media platform for publishing public posts, photos, and videos, and for connecting with other users. Its mix of mobile posting, video tools, livestreaming, and direct messaging suits solo users and small audiences who want to share from a phone. The service is available on the web and through iOS and Android apps, and its basic app is free. With posts of up to 777 characters, it supports short updates rather than long-form writing.
Video is a central part of GETTR’s feature set. Users can attach up to six images to a post, edit images and apply filters in the app, and edit videos in the app. Videos can be up to three minutes long, while GTok provides short-form vertical video and livestreaming supports live broadcasts. These tools make GETTR a fit for creators who prioritize mobile video and live content alongside public posts. Those looking for longer video formats or a broader feature set may prefer to compare alternatives.
Messaging and post editing add utility beyond publishing: direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, and posts can be edited after publication. GETTR also refers to a premium subscription, alongside its free basic app. This makes the free service a straightforward starting point, while buyers considering paid access should check the vendor’s current offer before deciding. GETTR is best suited to people seeking a mobile-first social platform with video, livestreaming, and messaging; it is less suitable for users whose priority is long posts or a wider set of features than this platform provides.
