Freshly Squeezed Samples review
A focused Splice catalogue for trance producers who need loops, vocals, MIDI and presets.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Freshly Squeezed Samples provides royalty-free production content for electronic music producers, with a clear emphasis on trance, hard trance and progressive styles. Its catalogue covers sample packs, loops, one-shots, MIDI construction kits, synthesizer presets, vocal libraries and DAW project files. Producers looking for genre-specific material and project-building resources will find a narrower, style-led collection rather than a general-purpose sample service.
Pricing is centered on one listed Splice subscription at $12.99 per month, billed monthly. The plan provides access to the full Freshly Squeezed Samples catalogue and includes 100+ credits per month, alongside trance, hard trance and progressive packs, loops and presets. The credit-based model suits producers who want recurring access across the catalogue, while the monthly structure keeps the published entry point straightforward. Selected products are also available for one-time purchase through partner stores, and previously purchased direct downloads remain available through FreshlyVault.
The strongest fit is for producers who value genre focus and a mix of finished sounds with construction material. MIDI files, vocal content, presets and DAW project files extend the catalogue beyond audio loops, with listed formats including WAV, MP3, MID, FLP, FXP and NMSV. Access is listed for Windows and macOS. Producers seeking broad coverage across many unrelated genres, or a catalogue accessed independently of Splice, should consider another library. Freshly Squeezed Samples makes more sense for trance-centered workflows where its specialized content and production-file range match the project.
