Framadate review
A focused, free choice for date polls and straightforward group decisions.

Framadate is a free, web-based polling service for groups that need to schedule meetings or choose among proposed options. Its date polls help participants identify a suitable time, while standard polls collect preferences across a set of choices. People can participate without registration, and the hosted service is operated by the French nonprofit Framasoft. For organizations that want control over deployment, Framadate is based on the open-source Pollaris software, which can be installed on an organization’s own server.
The product’s strongest fit is focused decision-making rather than broad survey research. Submitted responses can be viewed online, graphical result visualization helps groups interpret outcomes, and spreadsheet export supports further review. A default poll lifetime of 180 days gives routine scheduling and voting exercises a defined window. These features make Framadate practical for teams, communities, and groups that need a simple poll without requiring participants to create accounts. Its free pricing also keeps the service accessible for recurring, lightweight coordination.
Framadate becomes less suitable when a questionnaire needs branching survey logic, extensive branding, broad integrations, APIs, or deeper survey capabilities. It is better understood as a focused date-and-option polling tool than as a full survey platform. The hosted web service provides the simplest path, while Pollaris self-hosting adds an option for organizations that prefer to run the software on their own server. The official site states that the old Framadate version stopped accepting new polls from April 2026, although existing old polls remain available for six months after that date. Choose Framadate for free collaborative polls; choose a broader survey product for complex research workflows.
