ForeUI review
A capable legacy desktop prototyping tool with broad export options and dated maintenance signals.

ForeUI is a desktop UI prototyping tool for designers, developers, product managers, and teams developing software or website concepts. It combines wireframing with interactive behavior defined through flowcharts, switchable interface themes, custom elements, reusable libraries, and master pages. The application runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, making it suited to organizations that prefer installed desktop software over browser-based design tools. Its presentation and export features also support sharing concepts beyond the editor.
ForeUI uses a paid model with a 15-day free trial and an Individual plan. According to the published plan, the license can be used on all machines owned by the purchaser, includes one year of software upgrades, and grants permanent usage of versions released during that upgrade period. The plan structure is straightforward for individual ownership, but buyers should evaluate the licensing fit for larger groups. There is no free plan, and the listed offering does not describe collaboration features, so teams that need shared cloud workspaces or real-time co-editing should look elsewhere.
The strongest case for ForeUI is its breadth within a desktop workflow. Multi-project and multi-page editing, master pages, reusable elements, slideshow presentation with annotations, browser simulation, and exports to HTML5/DHTML, PDF, and image formats cover several stages from early structure to demonstrable interaction. Generated HTML5 can connect to web services through JSONP. The tradeoff is product age: the official site lists version 5.00 SP1, released in 2019, so buyers prioritizing newer platform development, active collaboration, or current ecosystem connections should consider alternatives. ForeUI fits best when legacy desktop workflows and self-contained prototype authoring matter more than team-based delivery.

- Collaboration features are not part of the listed offering
- The listed 2019 release suggests an older maintenance cycle
