Flourish review
A template-rich tool for publishing interactive charts, maps and data stories.

Flourish is a browser-based data visualization platform for individuals, newsrooms, organizations and teams that want to turn datasets into interactive graphics or stories. Users can import data, choose from more than 50 chart, map and interactive templates, customize the result, then publish it publicly or embed it on a website. Interactive charts can include tooltips, filters and animations; story formats support scrollytelling. Its focus is on visual storytelling and publishing, rather than general-purpose infographic design, so it suits people who want audiences to explore data rather than just view a static graphic.
The free plan is substantial for trying the workflow or publishing projects: it includes unlimited projects, private unpublished projects and data, and public publishing and embedding with attribution. The Presenter option is available with Canva Business or Enterprise and adds interactive charts in Canva and PowerPoint, image and SVG export, and no Flourish attribution in those applications. Publisher is aimed at collaborative work, adding shared team workflows, custom themes, live updates from Google Sheets or CSV, and HTML export for self-hosting. Enterprise adds security and access controls, SSO, password policies, a live rendering API, and dedicated account management and priority support. Publisher and Enterprise use custom contracts and invoicing.
Integration choices make Flourish useful for teams already working with Canva, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, CSV files or the Flourish API. Web publishing and responsive embedding are central to the product, while API and export capabilities vary by plan. The main trade-off is that several workflow conveniences sit beyond the free plan: public free projects carry attribution, and live data updates and team collaboration are Publisher features. Flourish is a good fit for journalists, educators and teams making frequently updated, explorable visual stories; choose another tool if you need an entirely static infographic workflow or need those paid capabilities without custom-plan purchasing.
