Figuro is a browser-based 3D learning platform from Focusys B.V. in the Netherlands, built for teachers and students. It pairs a 3D editor with a connected classroom environment, so students create objects, scenes and whole worlds without installing software while teachers organise the work into structured courses. In the editor, students model with shapes, sketch on surfaces, extrude and cut, sculpt terrain, generate trees and forests, and reuse assets.

Courses are made of lessons, tasks, pages and instructions; an instruction can carry a picture and a question the student answers, and a task can be tightly guided, open-ended or a mix of both. Students follow the steps next to the editor, tick them off and hand the task in. Teachers create a class and share a code, so students join with a class code and a nickname instead of an e-mail address, and a teacher dashboard shows who has started, who is stuck, which chats are open and which tasks were handed in, with the 3D work and the answers to approve or send back. A marketplace offers ready-to-teach courses by subject, difficulty and age, and course creators keep 80% of sales with no annual seller fees.

According to Figuro's own fact sheet, the teacher role is free and an Educator plan costs US$50 a year, with no per-student fees; Figuro says pricing and availability reflect its October 2026 education pilot and may change. Choose Figuro to bring 3D creation into lessons across subjects such as STEM, design, history, geography, biology and art; choose a dedicated 3D modeling application if you need a professional production pipeline outside the classroom.

Figuro pros and cons

  • Where it wins

    • Structured courses with lessons, tasks and pictured instructions, plus a marketplace of ready-to-teach courses
    • Free teacher role; students join with a class code and nickname, no e-mail address
  • Where it doesn't
    • Runs only in a web browser
    • Animation and rendering depth are limited
    • Still in an education pilot; pricing may change
