FairEmail is an open-source email client for Android smartphones and tablets. It connects to existing accounts through IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, including Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo. The app is aimed at people who want to manage multiple email accounts in one place while retaining offline access, privacy protections and support for encryption. Unlimited accounts, a unified inbox, two-way synchronization, conversation threading and push notifications via IMAP IDLE cover the core email workflow without requiring a new mailbox.

The free plan includes core email features, unlimited accounts, a unified inbox, and offline storage and operations. The Pro plan adds advanced and convenience features, including scheduled sending, synchronization scheduling and calendar invitation handling. According to the vendor's support information, Pro features are purchased with a one-time payment rather than a subscription. FairEmail also supports accepting or declining calendar invitations and adding messages to a calendar, while remaining focused on email rather than serving as a full calendar manager.

Privacy and account compatibility are central strengths. FairEmail supports OpenPGP and S/MIME encryption, protects against tracking images and unsafe links, and works with standard email protocols and established providers. Its mobile-only coverage is the key boundary: it is designed for Android smartphones and tablets rather than a broader desktop or cross-platform setup. Choose FairEmail if Android is your primary email platform and you value offline operations, account consolidation and privacy controls. Consider another client if you need desktop access or a dedicated calendar, contacts, tasks or notes manager.
