EyeOut is a web-based brand monitoring and AI social listening service for founders, marketing and PR teams, agencies, and larger communications organizations. It tracks mentions across Google News, Reddit, Mastodon, Hacker News, Lemmy forums and Apple Podcasts, scanning twice an hour. Its tools analyze sentiment, emotion and themes, measure share of voice, track competitors, retain mention history and send spike or crisis alerts. The focus suits teams that need monitoring and response signals across those channels; organizations that require sources beyond them should look elsewhere.
Pricing is paid, with annual billing shown at $59 per month for Starter, $149 for Growth and $399 for Pro. Starter includes AI sentiment analysis, a daily AI digest, all listed monitoring channels and email alerts. Growth adds podcast and forum monitoring, spike and crisis radar, share of voice, competitor tracking and Slack alerts. Pro adds severity scoring for crisis analysis, emotion analysis, unlimited competitors, API and webhooks, and priority support. Enterprise adds unlimited keywords and custom volume, SSO, a dedicated CSM, custom sources, historical data and SLAs, plus a custom security review; its price is not stated here. The Starter plan's one seat and 5,000-mention limit make it a narrower fit for solo use than for collaborative monitoring.
The monitoring and alerting combination is the central strength: email is available on Starter, while Slack alerts arrive at Growth and webhooks at Pro. Historical mention data and exports support looking back beyond an immediate alert, and the higher tiers extend crisis analysis and competitor coverage. Enterprise's custom sources may address channel needs beyond the standard list, but they come with a custom plan. EyeOut is a reasonable fit for a solo team seeking alerts and historical context on its listed sources; teams needing broader standard source coverage or more Starter seats should compare alternatives.
