Exovo review
Exovo combines PBX calling, messaging and integrations, with customer-managed hosting.

Exovo is a self-hosted business phone system for organizations and managed service providers that want control over the hardware running their PBX. It supports SIP extensions, trunking with DID routing, custom call routing, ring groups, queues and multi-level IVR. Teams can also use voicemail-to-email with transcription, call recording, SMS, MMS, chat and fax. Browser access, a Windows softphone and mobile-app support cover several ways to reach the system, while multi-tenant hosting is part of its stated scope.
Deployment is a defining choice: Exovo runs on customer-controlled hardware through Docker Compose, rather than being presented as a hosted-only phone service. Encrypted backups, two-factor authentication and a REST API are included in its feature set. Integrations span CRM products such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho, PSA tools including ConnectWise Manage and HaloPSA, identity options such as Microsoft Entra ID and Keycloak, plus Microsoft 365, Grafana, Power BI and storage protocols or services including SFTP, FTP and S3. This breadth may suit teams integrating voice with existing business systems; organizations seeking a fully managed service should weigh the self-hosting requirement.
Licensing is organized by extension bands, from Up to 10 extensions through Up to 750 extensions. Each listed band includes full product access and unlimited concurrent calls, and Exovo offers a 30-day trial. Early-access pricing requires contacting Exovo, so buyers need a sales conversation to evaluate cost. The product also lists voicemail and on-box transcription, though the Android app is in field testing and iOS is in development. Support is listed through documentation. Exovo is a stronger fit for teams able to manage their own deployment and wanting extensive PBX controls; organizations prioritizing published pricing, broader listed support channels or ready mobile apps may prefer another option.
