EverWeb review
A desktop editor with flexible publishing, blogging and hosting options.

EverWeb is desktop software for building responsive personal websites on macOS or Windows. Its drag-and-drop editor, templates, navigation menus, master pages and widgets suit people who want to design and manage a site from a computer rather than work only in a browser. It supports unlimited website projects and offers blogging, SEO settings and custom domains through hosting providers. This is a fit for desktop-built sites, especially when local-folder publishing matters; it is not a match for someone seeking a free publishing plan or a builder for other operating systems.
Publishing flexibility is a central distinction. Sites can be sent to FTP hosting, saved to a local folder or published through EverWeb hosting. The editor includes widgets for forms, galleries, video and eCommerce, plus custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript code injection. Google Analytics, YouTube, Vimeo, Google Fonts and FTP hosting are among its integrations. These options give site owners different ways to combine visual editing with outside services or custom code, while keeping the workflow centered on desktop software.
According to the vendor's pricing page, EverWeb Standalone costs $89.95 one time and includes one year of free updates; hosting is not included in that plan. Hosting Lite costs $99.95 per year and bundles the software with 2 GB of disk space, 25 GB of bandwidth, five domains and website stats. Hosting Pro costs $199.95 per year, with 10 GB of disk space, 100 GB of bandwidth, unlimited domains and website stats. Choose standalone if you already have hosting or want local publishing; choose a bundled plan if you prefer EverWeb hosting. The platform is less suitable if you need a free publishing tier or do not use Windows or macOS.
