Eventide Anthology XII review
A broad effects bundle with deep sound-shaping options, priced at $999 one-time.

Eventide Anthology XII brings 32 audio plug-ins together for producers, mixers, mastering engineers and sound designers who want a wide range of effects in one bundle. Its collection spans EQ, dynamics, reverb, delay, modulation, distortion and pitch shifting, alongside classic Eventide hardware emulations. Seven reverb plug-ins and 4,500+ presets give it particular breadth for users who move between conventional mixing and more exploratory sound design.
The bundle’s standout value is range rather than a single workflow. SplitEQ and Physion Mk II offer transient/tonal splitting, while Crystals, MicroPitch and Octavox cover pitch-shifting effects. UltraTap, Undulator and H3000 Band Delays add multi-effect delay options; TriceraChorus, Instant Phaser Mk II and Instant Flanger Mk II handle modulation. That variety can suit studios seeking many effect types from one vendor, but producers looking for only one specific processor may find a 32-plugin bundle broader than they need.
Anthology XII costs $999 as a one-time purchase, and there is no free plan; a 14-day demo gives prospective buyers a limited evaluation period. It runs on Windows and macOS in AAX, AU, VST2 and VST3 formats, with compatibility across DAWs including Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper and Studio One. Activation uses an iLok account without requiring a physical dongle. Choose it if you want a large, varied effects collection and can justify the upfront price; consider a narrower option if you need only a few effects or prefer not to use iLok activation.
