Emailchemy review
A desktop converter for email archives and format changes, not full tenant migration.

Emailchemy is desktop software for converting mail data from proprietary email applications and standard mailbox files into formats other applications can import. It is suited to individuals and organizations preserving old mail, moving messages between compatible applications, or preparing email for archival and forensic analysis. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with editions for personal conversion, forensics, command-line use, API integration, and organizational migration projects.
Its main strength is format breadth rather than end-to-end migration orchestration. Emailchemy reads EML, MBOX, and Maildir as well as proprietary application formats, then exports to MBOX, EML, CSV, Maildir, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook PST, and Outlook for Mac OLM. The Conversion Wizard helps locate email data files, while the Advanced Converter and filters support conversion by folder and other message attributes. Mbox Splitter can divide standard MBOX files. A read-only IMAP ImportServer lets compatible mail applications retrieve converted email. These features make it a fit for mailbox-file work and migration between supported mail applications, including Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Entourage, and Thunderbird.
According to the vendor's pricing description, Migration Edition is quoted based on the number of email accounts. That approach may suit organizational projects with account-specific requirements, but it gives buyers less upfront price clarity than a published tiered plan. Emailchemy is a narrower choice than a full migration suite: its documented focus is email files and IMAP retrieval, not calendar or contacts transfer or direct Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenant migration. Choose it when the task is conversion, filtering, splitting, or preserving email archives across desktop platforms; consider another product if the project depends on moving a whole cloud tenant or migrating calendars and contacts alongside mail.
