Eddy McPixel is a browser-based pixel art editor for indie game developers, hobbyists, pixel artists, students and designers. Its tools cover sprite creation, tilesheet editing, tile-map painting, texture work, reference-image guides and PNG export. The editor runs locally in a web browser, requires no installation or account on the Free plan, and saves projects as portable .eddy files. It fits solo creators and small teams that want a focused web workspace for game art.

The Free plan provides a substantial drawing toolkit: pixel drawing, erasing, flood fill, eyedropping, shapes, gradients, dithering, unlimited layers, curated and custom palettes, mirror and symmetry drawing, and browser autosave. Tile artists get tilesheet editing, tile-map painting, wrap mode and a 3×3 preview for repeatable patterns. PNG export supports 1×–16× scale, while clipboard copying provides another way to move artwork into other workflows. The plan also includes no watermarks and no usage limits.

Premium costs $1.99 per month, according to the vendor's published plans. It adds cloud backup, cross-device sync, sharing, collaboration, version history and an ad-free editor. Those additions matter for artists moving between devices or coordinating work with others, while the Free plan is better suited to local, individual projects. Eddy McPixel is a sensible choice for affordable browser-based sprite, tileset and tile-map work; teams needing broader platform coverage or a different production workflow should look elsewhere. Support is available through email and documentation.
