eCamp is a web-based application for planning camps and courses, aimed at youth associations, school camps, music camps, sports groups and other organizations. It supports collaborative camp and course planning, activity planning, detailed schedules, custom activity templates and material assignment to activities or camp periods. The interface is multilingual and mobile-responsive, while plans can be exported to PDF and printed. eCamp v3 is free to use and developed as an open-source project, making it a practical fit for teams that need shared planning without a paid software tier.

The product’s strongest area is scheduling depth. Teams can organize activities and detailed timetables, assign materials, manage team access with permissions, and save work automatically. PDF export and printing support teams that need structured plans beyond the web interface. Integrations with MiData, CeviDB, JublaDB and Google add ecosystem connections, while web, API, Windows and Linux platforms broaden access. These features suit organizations coordinating staff, activities and camp resources in one planning workflow.

Its scope is deliberately focused on planning rather than full camp administration. Participant management, budgets and menus remain outside the product’s stated scope, and it does not cover registration, payments, parent services or communications. Teams primarily choosing software for schedules, activity templates, materials and staff permissions should find eCamp well aligned with that need. Organizations that require participant records, financial planning, meal management or family communication should choose a broader camp management product instead. Teams considering the transition should also note that eCamp v2 is being retired and is not migrated to v3.
