EasyGeotag review
An affordable Apple workflow for recording tracks, matching photos, and writing geotags.

EasyGeotag is a photo geotagging workflow for photographers using Apple devices. It records GPS tracks on an iPhone while shooting, then matches those tracks to camera photos on a Mac or iPad by capture time. The app supports JPEG, HEIC and RAW workflows, writes coordinates, altitude and place names to metadata, and provides map review with manual placement. Its trip library adds search, grouping and renaming for organizing geotagging work.
The published plans use a freemium model. The Free allowance costs $0 one-time and lets users record GPS tracks on iPhone, with five photos writable free per Apple Account. The EasyGeotag Bundle costs $14.99 one-time and unlocks geotagging on Mac, iPad and iPhone, including Family Sharing. The paid tier therefore extends access across Apple devices rather than introducing a separate feature list. According to the vendor's pricing details, the App Store price is listed in the US storefront, with regional prices varying.
EasyGeotag fits photographers working across iCloud, Apple Photos, Lightroom, Capture One, Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Bridge, with Siri and Apple Shortcuts also supported. Its workflow covers GPX import, timezone and clock-offset controls, interpolation between GPS fixes, batch selection, backups before writing, and restoration of originals. On Mac, ExifTool supports RAW metadata workflows; on iPad, proprietary RAW files use XMP sidecars. Apple-focused solo photographers and small teams should find the cross-device bundle practical. Those needing platforms beyond macOS and iOS, or a workflow that does not depend on reliable capture-time alignment, should consider another geotagging option.
