DuD-Poll is a free, web-based polling service operated by Technische Universität Dresden. It is designed for event-scheduling polls, such as coordinating meetings, and normal polls for simple voting. Privacy-sensitive organizers can use completely anonymous polls, while the software also supports end-to-end encrypted and authenticated polls, PGP-authenticated votes, and administrator-only vote reading. The Free plan includes event-scheduling polls, normal polls, and the anonymous polling version.
Privacy and control are central to DuD-Poll's appeal. Polls can use custom addresses, and administrators can control who can access them. The published feature set includes automatic deletion after two months without read access and poll version history. For organizations that want to retain control of their polling infrastructure, the software is open source under AGPL v3 and may be operated on the user's own server. That makes it a fit for teams prioritizing anonymous responses, encryption, and self-hosting over presentation features.
The product is narrower than a presentation-focused audience response system. Its stated scope centers on scheduling and simple voting, so organizations looking for live polling, Q&A, quizzes, or presentation integrations should choose a tool built around those workflows instead. DuD-Poll also comes with no customer support, which matters for teams that need guided onboarding or an assistance channel. Choose it for privacy-focused scheduling and polling, particularly when self-hosting is important; avoid it when audience interaction must be integrated into presentations or supported by a service team.
