Doppler is a local music player for people who want to listen to music files they own on Mac and iOS. It plays MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC, ALAC and WAV files without conversion, and brings library organization tools alongside playback. Users can search by artist, album or song, manage Liked Songs and Recently Added, edit playlists and reorder the playback queue. That makes it a fit for listeners maintaining a personal collection, rather than people looking for a general streaming service.

Library maintenance is a notable strength. Doppler can search for and set album artwork, merge multi-disc albums, and edit song and album metadata. Music can be imported over Wi-Fi or USB, from the iOS Files app, or via AirDrop; music and playlists can also be transferred between devices. Last.fm is among its integrations, while Sleeve, Meta, Mp3tag and Yate are listed for macOS. Yearly listening reports add a view of listening history. Together, these tools support a library-centered workflow across desktop and mobile, though the feature set stays focused on personal music management.

According to the vendor's pricing information, Doppler for Mac costs $30 as a one-time purchase and includes a personal-use license for up to 3 Mac computers. A 7-day trial is advertised, and Mac purchases can be refunded within 14 days. The iOS app is sold separately, so buyers should account for that distinction when planning to use both platforms. Choose Doppler if local playback, metadata cleanup and flexible imports matter more than access to a streaming catalog; look elsewhere if a single purchase covering both Mac and iOS is essential.
