Dexster Audio Editor is a Windows desktop application for recording, editing, converting and burning audio. It is aimed at solo users and small teams that want CD creation alongside a broader audio toolkit. The Audio CD Burner accepts MP3, WAV, OGG, WMA, AAC, M4A and FLAC files, writes discs for standard CD players, and supports CD, DVD and Blu-ray drives. Editing includes cut, copy, delete, paste and mixing, while effects include fade, equalizer, reverb and tempo controls.
The published plan is Dexster Audio Editor, priced at $45 USD as a one-time purchase. It includes audio editing, recording, conversion and Audio CD burning, plus unlimited free upgrades for one year and free lifetime technical support. A 30-day refund period is listed. The evaluation download expires after nine executions rather than after a time-based period, giving prospective buyers a defined number of launches to review the application before purchasing.
Dexster’s breadth is its main distinction: recording can use a microphone or other input device with a timer, audio can be extracted from video or an Audio CD, and batch conversion, joining, splitting, encryption and protection are included. That scope suits Windows users who prefer one desktop application for preparation and disc output instead of a burner alone. The trade-off is platform coverage: the listed deployment is Windows desktop, with version 5.1 covering Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11. Users on other operating systems or those seeking a non-desktop workflow should consider another tool.
