DayPrivate review
A focused planning workspace for solo users who want private, detailed time blocking.

DayPrivate is a local-first outliner and day-planning application for one person. It combines deeply nested outlines with day and week planning grids, draggable time blocks, timers, tracked time, and goal alignment. The Mac, iPad, and iPhone apps are designed for solo users who want to connect detailed task planning with a private calendar workflow rather than manage shared schedules.
Its standout feature is the connection between structured notes and time-based planning. Infinite nesting, zoom, mirrors, backlinks, and keyboard editing support detailed organization, while automatic time blocking works around calendar availability. Timers, tracked-time overlays, goal reporting, and reckoning prompts add follow-through after planning. Optional on-device AI features extend the app without changing its local-first storage model. Apple Calendar integration works across supported devices, with calendar mirroring from Mac, while Google Calendar can be read on Mac. iCloud Drive is used for encrypted synchronization between devices.
The published plans show a Monthly option at $8 per month and an Annual option at $69 per year. Both include everything in the app, Mac, iPad, and iPhone access, encrypted sync across devices, and every update while the plan is active. There is no free plan. DayPrivate fits people who prioritize private, detailed time blocking and a tightly connected outliner, planner, and timer. It is less suitable for teams, households, or anyone who needs shared calendars. The public build is not yet released or available in the App Store, so the product’s current access is narrower than its platform coverage suggests.
